​Taft Canyon is a unique subdivision situated in southwest Fort Collins. Its location is typically summed up as 'the southwest corner of Taft and Harmony on the way up to Horsetooth.' Taft Canyon consists of 237 homes as of 2023, and turnover in the subdivision is rare. Twelve homes were sold in the entirety of 2018, in 2019 the same, 2020 saw only six sales, 2021 saw five sales total, 2022 also had five, and as of the first quarter of 2023 there has been one.

​One of the defining features of the subdivision is its proximity to Cathy Fromme natural area. A trail is available to residents at the south end of the subdivision that leads to this beautiful open space. Hiking and mountain biking are common activities in which to observe wildlife and take in the combo of prairie grasslands and foothills views, which is uniquely Colorado.

​Additionally, there is a large open space in the middle of Taft Canyon that residents can enjoy throughout the year, and a green belt near the east entrance to the subdivision where an annual picnic is held.
